QED Enterprises, Inc. is now hiring a Project Manager responsible for overseeing the effective execution of relocation and upgrades of field offices throughout the central United States.  The successful candidate will effectively understand the design and construction process, relate and communicate closely with team members from the Design and Engineering Services, Construction Operations, Government Representatives, Suppliers, and Subcontractors across multiple projects and locations nationwide.  This involves serving as the key contact between the Government representative and the A/E and being responsible for ensuring that the A/E is adhering to all requirements while maintaining schedule and budget.  Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Acquire functional knowledge of government contracts, adhere-enforce regulations and code
  • Upon RFP receipt, quickly review and gain an understanding of the SOW for each project and provide a detailed outline of work breakdown structure with Gantt chart timelines
  • Develop agendas, prepare announcements, coordinate Government facilities, and provide coordination of all participants
  • Monitor progress with the site as required, participate in weekly progress meetings, maintain meeting records and follow through with subsequent preparation and distribution of minutes of meetings
  • Generating graphical materials and documents to support internal and external meetings and briefings
  • Complete drawing and specification reviews and comment on consistency and inclusion of all project goals
  • Identify any out of scope items
  • Manage the Customer review process, construction and subcontractors for evaluations & response
  • Monitor schedules for timeline adherence, and client review periods
  • As required, address requested change in SOW, initiate correspondence, respond to CO’s (RFP) coordinate with estimating on scope, design and construction impact, and time delays
  • Provide expertise to assist field offices in making decisions regarding acquisition, pricing, technical and operational performance, risk, and project suitability as they relate to each Facilities relocations and upgrades


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, & PowerPoint)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction materials, methods, order of construction, & scheduling
  • Ability to read & understand drawings, schematics, codes, regulations, & government guidelines
  • Thorough understanding of Request for Proposals (RFP) and Scope of Work (SOW)
  • Travel will be required depending on customer needs.


Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Project Management Certification, or 3 additional years of relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the UNICOR/OEI furniture process
